Robert Barth – Director of Financial Institutions

Robert Barth is a Director of Financial Institutions with Brutten Global Holdings. Moreover, he is the CEO of Black Equities Group Ltd., a diversified real estate investment company founded by the legendary Stanley Black.  He has over 35 years experience in real estate development and investments, and oversees a portfolio of over 7 million square feet of buildings.

He graduated with a B.S. degree from the University of California and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.  He began his career in 1973 by acquiring commercial and industrial properties, and in 1985, he began a professional relationship with Stanley Black. Over the next two and a half decades, they acquired interests in over 200 commercial and industrial properties located in California and the Western States.

About 12 years ago, Bob began diversifying his holdings into other ventures.  He serves on the advisory boards of several private equity funds where he is an investor.  In 2007 he was a co-founder of California Republic Bank and is currently Chairman of the Board.  Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of a number of other privately held companies.

Outside the boardroom, Bob generously shares his time and resources to make a difference in our community.  Bob serves on the Board of Governors and the Investment Committee at the Medical Center and was presented the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors 2011 Philanthropic Leadership Award.
